For SupportCoordinators

I love Support Coordinators!!  I truly appreciate the valuable role you play in supporting our mutual Participants and I try to do all I can to ensure we maintain a great working relationship. I believe this makes both of our jobs more effective and more enjoyable, but more importantly it provides the greatest level of service to our Participant. With this in mind, I have implemented the following service provision for Support Coordinators:

Friendly and Helpful Service - Call me! If there is an issue, I want to know! I’m more than happy to chat about specific queries related to a Participant or more general Plan Management conundrums. I enjoy networking and keeping on top of current NDIS issues so let’s meet up for a coffee 😊

Access to our Portal - After gaining Participant consent, I will set you up with access to the online Portal. This gives you real time information on a Participant's budget, what invoices have been processed and what funds are remaining. You can access this any time, anywhere. Feedback from Support Coordinators has been very positive - you have full visibility and can prepare for those Plan Reviews without any guesswork or delay in getting the information you need.

Monthly Statements - As you know, the NDIS requires Plan Managers to provide monthly statements to Participants. After gaining Participant consent, I’m more than happy for these statements to be sent to you as well. Support Coordinators have mentioned that this is a great way to quickly check in to ensure everything is tracking well.

Service Bookings for Specific Providers - In PRODA there is no way of making a service booking for a specific provider. In my experience this often leads to confusion and does not protect against potential overspend. The software I am using allows funds to be quarantined to a specific provider. Service Agreements are our preferred way of administering this. It’s as simple as emailing them through to me.

NDIS Atherton Tablelands Providers and Participants Network - This is a Facebook group administered by FNQ Plan Management where NDIS providers (registered and unregistered) who physically service the Atherton Tablelands can advertise.

This means they must have a physical address or travel to our community to provide NDIS services. No online or virtual service providers are accepted. It has been created as a resource for local Participants and professionals to access information about services available within our local community as well as to share support, knowledge and guidance with others in the NDIS space. I maintain a register of all service providers in the area which is available within the Facebook Group.

If you would like to be included on this list, please email me.

For those Providers servicing the broader Far North Queensland region, another resource is the NDIS Cairns Providers and Participants Network Facebook page. You can ask to be added to this listing as well (it’s also free). Look in their Files section - they have a very extensive list of services available to the region.
